STA Feast Day

St Thomas Aquinas Feast Day -  28th January

We celebrated our patron’s special feast day by all attending a beautiful Mass and invited parents and parishioners too! Fr Jithu commented on the wonderful singing and participation of all the children.  Some of the Mission and Prayer Team stayed to chat with parishioners as they had a cup of tea.

In the afternoon, each class created a collaborative piece of artwork that was inspired by St Thomas Aquinas’s wise words and the children enjoyed some juice and biscuits too!

Happy Feast Day!

Year 6D Blog

On Monday morning, the whole school had a special Mass to celebrated and learn more about St Thomas Aquinas on his feast day. Father Jithu was leading us, assisted by Y6 altar servers and the teachers and pupils were joined by parishioners and parents. After that, we went outside and had extra break time for all the students - it was so fun! When we came back inside, we learnt a lot more about him. St Thomas Aquinas was born in Aquino, Italy in 1225. He sadly died on 7th March at the age of 49 - he was a philosopher and taught people about the important things of our Catholic faith. After lunch, we had some cake and squash with friends and we played the RE games that we made 1 week before and we had a good time.
