National Poetry Day
On Friday 23rd October, we celebrated National Poetry Day for the first time in our school. We had poet, Joshua Seigal with us all day and he entertained us in assembly by performing a range of his poems. We all got to join in with words and actions. Joshua worked with most classes at some point throughout the day, helping us to try out various styles of poem. In class, we read poems, recited poems, wrote poems and combined poetry with art. It was a fantastic day!
