Saints
Saints
Saints are not just abstract figures from the past; they are a diverse group of individuals who led virtuous lives, faced challenges, and overcame them through their faith. They include martyrs, kings and queens, missionaries, widows, theologians, parents, nuns and priests, and ‘everyday people’ who dedicated their lives to the loving pursuit of God. Their stories can serve as a source of inspiration and guidance in our own spiritual journeys.
For centuries, people have found inspiration from the lives of the saints, particularly in the stories of saints who devoted themselves in service to the poor, sick, and vulnerable. Many saints have shown remarkable forgiveness, some are honoured for their simplicity and humility, while others were great writers and thinkers who shaped our faith. Sadly, many saints were persecuted for their faith.
