5P Cake Sale

5P did their bit to raise money for Ariba by holding a cake sale on Wednesday 17th February. The cake sale was very popular as the pictures show. There were also milkshakes available which were so popular that they ran out of cups! Well done 5P!

The Launch Day

2We launched our Lenten Charity Appeal on Tuesday 9th February when Richard from Sports Connections came in to talk to us about a really exciting event that will take place at our school. We are going to be having a sponsored football competition!

Richard is a former professional footballer and at the end of March he will be bringing the largest inflatable football goal in Britain to our school so that we can all take part in the 'Primary Schools Speed Challenge'! Everyone in school will attempt to kick a football as hard as they can. The boy and girl in each class who achieve the hardest shot will win a trophy and anyone who raises more than £25 will win a football! We will be raising money to go to Ariba, the charity being supported by Mrs. Callaghan in Zambia. Mrs. Callaghan will be spending two weeks in Zambia helping a group of priests support the local population in Mongu. She is taking some footballs kindly donated by Sports Connections.
