Mini Vinnies Christmas Hamper Appeal

The Mini Vinnies Christmas Hamper appeal was a great success, thanks to the generosity and support it received from parents, children and staff members. Each class created a Christmas hamper and the hampers were distributed to deserving families in our community by Mrs Oonagh Standen (S.V.P).

Diocesan Mass – ‘Let us be protectors of Creation’

A few children went to the Diocesan Schools’ Mass in Dunstable to represent our school. The Mass celebrated Pope Francis’ message in Laudato Si about the world being a gift from God and our duty to protect it. This linked with the CAFOD ‘Eyes of the World’ project, which we took part in during summer last year. After a joyful Mass with singing and prayers, Bishop David gifted each school with a sapling to be planted in the school grounds.

Lord, let us remember the words of Pope Francis who said ”We must bring healing to our lives, that we may protect the world and not prey on it, that we may sow beauty not pollution and destruction.”
