School Supplies for Comboni Sister
Sepo, which supports the work of the Comboni Sisters in Zambia, were asked if we can help support children’s learning in Lusaka through a programme being run by the Sisters. Sepo were able to collect, pack many items which will be shipped to the Sisters soon. Thank you to the children and families who donated their out-grown school shoes, sports kit and any stationery items.
Mothers’ Day Gifts
We remember and give thanks for our mothers during this month and many children supported our Sepo appeal by buying a small gift to show that they appreciate the women who love and care for them. All monies raised will support the Women’s Skills Centre in Mongu, Zambia.
Sepo Day 2024
On 19th March children and staff joined together for an exciting day of fun to raise money for our Parish charity, Sepo. There was a morning frenzy and a buzz of excitement with the different stalls open for business. The children loved the splash a teacher, hooking a duck, toy and book sale and buying ice-pops, to name but a few. After lunch the dancing event began with teachers and classes leading the whole school in some classic dances! We finished the event with the whole school dancing the Jerusalema dance we had all been practising.
Our sponsored event generated over £2300 which will go towards supporting the Comboni Missionary Sisters in Mongu with their Women, givers of life project. This project focuses on prevention and awareness of early pregnancies as well as following up on pregnant women and patients with chronical diseases that are in need of constant medical care. Many of these patients are facing challenges such as the big distances to access medical services.
Thank you for all your support. An amazing achievement and a fantastic day!
Sepo Secret Santa Sale
We continue to support our friends in Zambia during this Advent time. Children were thinking of others and chose gifts to give to their family and friends and the proceeds raised went to Zambia, to help with the on-going work of the Comboni Sisters in Mongu. Over £500 was raised - thank you everyone!
Advent Fundraising
- Christmas Jumper day was full of fun and raised an amazing £180.
- Thank you for buying a chocolate filled crochet stocking to help us raise a further £100.
- Many children and staff chose to make a donation to Sepo as an alternative to sending paper Christmas cards to classmates, raising £340. This is an environmentally friendly way to support the work of Sepo.
