In Computing, we have been learning how to be great photographers! These are just some of the photos we took!
We were lucky enough to have a DT Day at St Paul’s School! We worked in pairs to design a vehicle and made it using a shoebox! We then raced them at the end of the day to see whose car was the fastest. We had a great day.
We have been learning about an artist called Leonid Afrmov who is famous for his seascape paintings. We recreated his seascape canvas using palette knifes and acrylic paint!
This week we have been learning about instruction writing. Today we worked in pairs to follow a set of instructions to make dragon medicine!
Year 2 visited the synagogue for Judaism Week. We did lots of fun, creative activities and even learnt a Jewish song! We tasted challah bread and learnt how to play a traditional Jewish game which involved chocolate coins! We had a great day.
MK Dons coaches came in to teach the Year 2 children about different throwing techniques. They had lots of fun!
Year 2B had their meditation session in the Chapel today! We shared what we speak to God about and the things that we had been praying for.
The children made arrays using cubes to solve multiplication calculations and repeated addition calculations.
The children learned to use Google Maps to look at Claude Monet’s garden in France!
Trip to Linford Lakes
Class 2B went on an exciting trip to Linford Lakes! It helped us learn so much about our Science topic, ‘Plants and Habitats’! The children went on a mini beast hunt and went pond dipping!
The children recreated Van Gogh’s Sunflowers using cotton buds and bold brush strokes! The finished results look fantastic!
