“I have called you by your name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

Year 4

Hindu Society

In early December we were visited by the Hindu Society of Milton Keynes. They took an assembly and discussed their lifestyle, beliefs and culture. We looked at their beautiful clothing, tasted some of their food and learnt all about their Gods.

The ladies worked with Year 4 and allowed them to touch and look more closely at their statues and clothing. Tatyana got to try on a traditional Hindu dress.

RAF Hendon

Year 4 visited RAF Hendon as part of their World War topic. The children looked at a range of WW2 planes and vehicles including the famous Spitfire and Messerschmitt planes. They made gas mask boxes, met an Air Raid Warden and tried on real RAF uniforms. The children looked very smart in their uniforms.

Amazing Homework

Mrs Penn has continued to be impressed with the high quality homework that Year 4 is producing as part of their WW2 topic.

World War II

Year 4 are learning about what life was like during World War II. Mrs Penn has been very impressed by the children’s enthusiasm and interest in this topic. The children have been set a homework mission which involves completing a range of activities, drawing on their art, design, literacy, ICT and cookery skills. They have already brought in a range of projects including Anderson Shelters, WWII aeroplane diagrams and even a loaf of ‘no-need-to-knead’ bread!
