“I have called you by your name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

Nativity 2014

Nativity Assembly 2014  -  A Special Gift

For the final assembly of 2014, the whole school gathered in the hall, surrounded by the flickering Advent wreaths which had marked our Advent journey.

Year 6 children told us why this time of year is so exciting and about all the things that they look forward to and they encouraged us to remember the best present that we had ever received.

Year 3 children then told us a very familiar story about the birth of a special baby and Mrs Hackett explained that Jesus is the greatest gift in our lives, given to us by God.

As we spoke about gifts, some children placed a golden crown and a Superhero outfit in front of the baby Jesus as we remembered that He is the king who came to save us.

Then, as our gift to Him, we offered a clock, a mirror and a heart to remind us that our gift is to spend time with Jesus this Christmas time, to give ourselves to family and friends and to give our love to others at this time of year.

Wishing you all a happy and holy Christmas.
