Toy and Book Sale

Mini Vinnies held a toy and book sale to raise money for Sepo. We raised a lot of money for a very worthy cause. We are very grateful to students, parents and staff members for the donations of books and toys towards the stalls.

Mini Vinnies Commissioning Ceremony - 2023-2024

Mini Vinnies is the children’s group of St. Vincent De Paul Society (SVP). They are a group of primary school children that get together to help those in need within the school and local community.  

On 27th November, Mini Vinnies had their Commissioning Ceremony. Mr. John Scott (local S.V.P president) was our guest of honour.  The ceremony started with the welcome prayer delivered by the president of the Mini Vinnies. Mrs Hackett, Chaplaincy Lead, lit candles as a sign for the Mini Vinnies to spread their light to the community. The new Mini Vinnie members came forward and explained to the audience the reasons why they joined this group. All the children spoke about different ways they could make a difference in our community.  After the new Mini Vinnies said their pledge aloud, Mr. John Scott presented certificates and badges. The ceremony ended with the whole school singing the hymn ‘In moments like these’, which touched the hearts and minds of every single person in the audience.
