Poetry Day
National Poetry Day 2016
On Thursday 6th October we celebrated National Poetry Day. Our special visitor, poet, Baden Prince, led the whole school assembly by reciting a range of poems and raps. It was great fun! In class, the children all had the opportunity to look at a variety of poems and respond to them. Some children were performing, others were writing and some children were carrying out rhyming activities. Baden led some class workshops in Key Stage 2 so that the children could benefit from his experience and have a go at writing and performing their own poems.
