Lenten Almsgiving for Sepo
During Lent we are asked to PRAY, FAST and GIVE as we prepare ourselves for solemn time during Holy Week and then the joy of Easter. Children and families have generously donated items and money to support the parish group, Sepo who work alongside the Comboni Sisters at St Agatha’s parish, school and community in Mongu, Zambia. During our whole STA Sepo Day, children learned about the work of the sisters and about the difference that we can make to our friends far away.
The matchbox challenge created much interest with many, many tiny items placed in each box, and each box decorated with great creativity. The children also ran stalls on the playground and had great fun spending their money, throwing wet sponges, shooting at goal and hooking ducks! Thank you for supporting the Lenten events. The pancake sale, Mothers’ day shopping, knitted chicks, MK Dons raffle and Sepo Day raised a total of over £2000 which is phenomenal! Every penny will be greatly received and will make a big difference to families in Mongu. We will keep you updated with the projects funded.

Loving Your Neighbour
Well done to all the children who followed the virtue of 'loving your neighbour'. Your small acts of kindness, which helped our friends and family, were exchanged for small amounts of money and these were used to make a BIG difference to our neighbours around the world.
As a school we were able to buy 5 chirpy chickens, a goat, 2 vegetable patches, 2 watering cans and some worms. We also helped to teach 2 children to read, set up a soup kitchen and support a mother and baby project and provide play therapy sessions.

Food Hampers
Thank you to everyone who donated food items for the Christmas hampers which were gratefully received by members of our parish community. Our Mini-Vinnies Team organised, promoted, collected and distributed 20 hampers for families who need a little support at this time.
Advent Fundraising for Sepo
Advent and Christmas are the time of year when we count our blessings and think about the needs of others. We remember how much God loves us and how much he has given to us. We thank Him for the many blessings we receive and we show this gratitude by sharing his love with others. We hope to show and share this love with our brothers and sisters at St Agatha’s Parish community in Mongu, Zambia.
This Advent, an amazing £1,100 has been raised by STA families who have supported our Christmas Jumper Day, Secret Santa Sale and Christmas Card Appeal. A special thank you to Year 6 who helped our Reception children with their shopping.
