2024 - 2025
Earth Day
The Eco-Committee and School Council worked together to fundraise for our Biodiversity project. We held a mufti day where the children and staff could wear blue or green clothing for the day for a donation of a pound. We managed to successfully raise over £200. This money will be used to purchase some natural habitats to benefit our pond area and improve our overall biodiversity around the school.

Pen Recycling
We have now completed our Pen recycling programme. It has been a great success and we have collected around 500 pens, which will all be recycled at a specialist recycling centre and turned into something new. Thank you for supporting this endeavour.
Anglian Water Eco Advocates Award
The Eco-Committee have been continuing to work with Anglian water this half term. After submitting our application, we are very excited to announce that we were successful and received our 100litre Water Butt. This will be invaluable in helping to save water throughout our school; it will be added to the new shed!
Anglian Water
The Eco-Committee are working with Anglian Water, this year. We have had a meeting with Caroline, from Anglian Water, and she is helping us to save water consumption all around the school. We tested all the taps in school to measure how much water is wasted. We have designed posters and put them up all around school to help people understand how important it is to not waste water. Hopefully, if successful, the Eco-Committee will win a water butt for the school, which would be a great achievement!

Recycling Pens
One of our topics on our action plan this year is to help recycle old and used pens. We have a recycling box, which is just outside the library. The whole school are involved and we hope to recycle all the old pens. We use so many pens in school; this is a great way of helping our community be more eco-friendly.

Planting Trees
The Eco-Committee has made a great start to our Green Flag application. We had the opportunity to observe Mr Zeolla planting several trees at the back of the field. Hopefully, these trees will grow well and be here, at the school, for many years to come. We all enjoyed watching the process and knowing how planting these trees is good for our environment.
