Aquinas School amazed the audience over two nights in December when they performed their specially written Christmas Production, ‘STA the Golden Years’. A variety of children from Years 5 and 6 told the tale of St Thomas Aquinas school over the past 50 years. The story started with ex-caretaker, Fred Martin meeting with ex-head teacher Rob O’Malley and they reminisced on the years gone by. They were joined by Mrs Basham, Mr Wheatley, Mr Briggs and even current head Mr Mundy as they recollected the past 5 decades! The performance was made even more special by the class performances where every class in the school sang and danced to a song from the past 50 years. The story of course ended happily and the curtain was drawn with all 300 children singing our own rendition of Spandau Ballet’s ‘Gold’!
