Kenya 2008

We were extremely proud to present a cheque for £5000 to John Scott, the chairman of the St. Vincent de Paul society in our parish. Mr. Scott is spearheading efforts to raise money for Fr. Clement. and will be able to pass the money onto Fr. Clement in Kenya. Thank you very much for all of your donations.

Dog is named

We finally have a name for Reception's dog! His name is Scruffy. Thank you to anyone who entered the competition. All of the proceeds go towards the Kenya appeal.

Year 4 Sponsored Walk

Tuesday 18th March was a busy day for fundraising. As well as year 3C's carnival we had the year 4 sponsored walk. The sponsored walk was no ordinary sponsored walk though. It was an obstacle walk. Children had to make their way around the field doing activities as they went. The activities included football dribbles, backwards walking and dizzy running. The children walked for 2 hours and had been sponsored for the number of laps they completed. On top of this there was a cake sale and auction on the playground which was very well attended. Thank you for all of your support!

Year 3C Carnival

The 3C carnival was a great success. Children from all classes rolled up to try their luck on the lucky dip, the buzz the wire, the pick a stick and many other carnival-style games. The children of 3C ran the stalls and enjoyed encouraging the other children to spend their money!

Year 5 Sponsored Silence

It was bliss in year 5 on Monday as the whole class spent the whole day in silence. The children had collected sponsorship pledges for the almost impossible task. Class members used whiteboards to communicate questions and answers to Mr O' Malley, who enjoyed the day immensely.

Years 1 and 2 Book Sale

The whole school got dressed up for World Book Day on March 6th. It was quite a sight. Everyone who dressed up paid £1 to our Lenten appeal for Kenya. Years 1 and 2 ran a book sale, a raffle, a tombola and a cake sale in the hall. It was a great effort by all. Below are some pictures from the day.

Year 3W Cake Sale

On Friday 15th February Year 3W held a cake sale to raise money for Father Clement and his parishoners in Kenya. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to sell cakes throughout the afternoon and after school. We raised £208. Thank you.
